Rick Lee
Rick’s career has been influenced from many directions firstly from his father, who was also a fine singer and guitar picker and he used to play many of the greats in country music and by the tender age of 10 he picked up his first guitar.
He formed the pop band ‘Step On it’ which proved a challenge as pop bands even then, had so many changes to their line ups, but Rick kept on plucking away at the scene and his success is well documented amongst fellow musicians, entertainers and promoters and in the late 80’s early 90’s Rick joined a group called ‘Shooter’ which was formed from ‘Chicory Tip’ who reached No.1 in the charts with the single ‘Son of the father’. Eventually Rick left behind the group scene picking up his routes in country music formed in his early years with his Dads influence.
Rick is a competent multi instrumentalist and plays guitar, banjo, fiddle, keyboard and drums. This has given him the opportunity to put together backing tracks, not only for himself but also for other solo artists.
He has also over the years, developed his skills in song-writing.
When onstage he uses his guitar and Yamaha synth/keyboards and his wife who is a sound technician runs his sound equipment off stage. This enables him to produce a live performance with a full sound for today audience, which demands a professional sound and is more than acceptable both for the listening or dancing audience at country music clubs and venues including a wide selection of Country Music...
